1. Install both WSJT-X and JTDX, set VAC Line 1 as output audio device in WSJT-X and input audio device in JTDX, push Tune button in WSJT-X and monitor signal in JTDX waterfall.
There is an example of the dirty signal with multiple breaks:
Check VAC ‘ms per int’ settings:
and reduce value there until signal breaks will disappear (you will have to switch off JTDX/WSJT-X to get permission to change this value):
Now try to change audio TX frequency by the CTRL+click in WSJT-X waterfall, monitor signal in JTDX, there is the normal behaviour:
In some setups broken spectrum can be observed at frequency change, for instance like this one:
If you getting such behaviour then run VAC control panel as admimistrator and try to change there capture and render ports from Auto to WavePci (you will have to switch off JTDX/WSJT-X to get permission to change this values):
WavePci is hardcoded as capture/render port in VAC 4.15. Now try change TX frequency in WSJT-X and make sure that proper port selection have eliminated broken signal in your setup:
Set this settings to every VAC cable being used in JTDX/WSJT-X. Now you are ready to go on air.
